Wing Tsun Legend
The origin of Wing Tsun concerns to time of rough, tyrannical dynasty Ming, governing more 270 years ago. It was time when ninety percent of Chinese were under authority of ten-percentage minority. Ming have released set of the unfair laws concerning hons. For example, for all babies of a female was told to bandage legs that becoming adults they depend on parents and husbands. Opportunities for job were limited for hons which could not get a post above certain level. For maintenance of the board Ming have imposed the country with heavy taxes. Nevertheless Ming have started to be acquainted with culture of hons, and long time monastery Shaolin was held in respect, as a Buddhist sanctuary.
As any weapon for hons was forbidden, they have begun confidential preparation of revolutionary army. The Shaolin monastery became a place of preparation for classical forms of fight which borrowed from 15 till 20 years.
To develop the new form which mastering needs shorter time, five Chinese masters have met for discussion of advantages of each of various forms kung-fu. Selecting the most effective technics from each style, they have developed the program of training for preparation of effective fighters in time from 5 till 7 years, that is for one third of an initial cycle. Nevertheless, still before the new technics has been introduced into practice, Ming have attacked on Shaolin monastery and burnt it.
Ng Mui has survived unique of five masters. She has transferred the knowledge to the girl-orphan who has named Wing Tsun - a name which is meant 'with hope for the future'. In turn Wing Tsun has transferred the knowledge to the husband. In centuries style became known, as Wing Tsun. His technics and the doctrine it was transferred much, always to cautiously chosen pupils.
